Conforme tem sido noticiado neste Rock em Geral, sai na semana que vem, no dia 29, nos Estados Unidos, o disco tributo a JJ Cale, “Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale”. Hoje, dia 22, foram liberadas as audições de duas novas faixas, “Train To Nowhere”, com vocais de Mark Knopfler, Don White e Eric Clapton, e “Don’t Wait”m cantada por Eric Clapton e John Mayer. Antes, “Caju Moon” e “Call Me The Breeze”, já vieram à tona; clique nos links no final do texto para escutar cada uma das músicas. Também participam do tributo Tom Petty e Willie Nelson, entre outros.

Eric Clapton fez sucesso com músicas de Cale como “Cocaine” e “After Midnight”, mas bandas como Lynyrd Skynyrd, Captain Beefheart, Santana e Allman Brothers também gravaram composições de Cale.
